DUNHILL HISTORY LECTURES

Series XIII, 2019
 
The series will run for ten weeks, every *Thursday from 10 January to 14 March, starting at 8pm.
*one Wednesday lecture, January 30th

24 Jan Pat McCarthy: 1918 – the year England lost Ireland
30 Jan WEDNESDAY LECTURE  Rt Rev. Monsignor Michael Olden: The Faith Journey of the Déise People
7 Feb  Eugene Broderick: Ireland’s Industrial School System
14 Feb Julian Walton: The story of Clifford, and a north Cork boyhood in the 1940s
21 Feb Simon Dowling: Waterford’s archaeology from the air
28 Feb Donnchadh Ó Ceallacháin: Joseph Fisher, the Munster Express and the Land League in Waterford.
7 March Kieran Heffernan: The story of Strancally Castle and the people who lived in it
14 March Áine Ní Fhodhlú: Philip Barron of Seafield: a man before his time 
 

Lectures are held at Dunhill Multi-Education Centre (opposite the GAA grounds). 
Starting at 8 p.m., each lecture lasts about an hour and is followed by a question & answer session and light refreshments provided by Park Café.
All are welcome.  There will be an admission charge of €5 per lecture, with a reduced price of €45 for the full series of ten lectures.
