“Wetlands & Environmental” Services Talk 

Ecologist Ultan Duggan from Vesi Environmental will de delivering a free talk at Dunhill Multi-Education Centre (Eircode X91H7WP), in a “lunchtime bites” format. If you cannot attend the meeting in person, you can watch the talk online via Microsoft Teams – contact us in advance to arrange this.

This talk will take place on the 6th of May between 13h00 (1pm) and 14h00 (2pm) and will be followed by a Q&A session. Refreshments will be served, so registration for this is essential.
The theme of the talk is “Wetlands & Environmental Services”. This talk will explore the vital role wetlands play in our environment and the essential ecosystem services they provide.

We will learn what wetlands are, how they host a biodiverse flora and fauna, the services they provide in terms of water management, flood control, carbon storage, amongst other. Finally we will discuss the importance to conserve wetlands due to their positive environmental impact and the benefits we as humans can reap from wetlands.
