Practical Tips for Recording Sampling Data – Citizen Science

Next week’s session will be on the 20th of May at Dunhill Multi-Education Centre. Starting time is 19h00 and should be about an hour long.


During this session we will guide through practices for 🖋️ recording the data collected during the CSSI kicksampling, and demonstrate how to submit records to the the Local Authority Waters Programme and the National Biodiversity Data Centre. 


We will discuss the importance of reporting 🌿 rare and invasive species, and learn how to submit sightings for investigation. We will also discuss and practice some skills in digital data submission, such as 📸 tips on taking photographs and 🗺️ using mapping apps for retrieving location data.

You may wish to bring your 📱smartphone for practicing these skills. We will have 💻 laptops ready for use but feel free to bring your own.
