Julian Walton is back with the new Autumn Lecture Series. Julian will be hosting the first lecture “A Continental holiday in 1905” on the 4th of November at 11h00. Julian is a retired schoolteacher and librarian with a lifelong interest in Waterford history. He has been Resident Historian at Dunhill since 2006.
The theme for this first lecture of this series is:
“A Continental holiday in 1905”
“Before our memories of the summer excursions of 2025 fade, we give you the story of a holiday in Paris, Switzerland, Venice and the Italian lakes 120 years ago, as narrated in a series of letters written by two sisters to their family back home.”
